Life can be challenging, but most of the time we manage.
Until we don't.
When dealing with unexpected crises, outside our control (redundancy, illness, family loss...),
it's easy to acknowledge our distress.
But there's also the hidden, almost "below our radar" stresses that, over time, become too "big" to ignore.
One of the first signs we're not OK is poor sleep.
"When we're not sleeping, we're not thinking".
Slowly, our "hidden stress" starts affecting the quality of our lives, making us feel negative.
"What's wrong with me?"
"Is it depression or burnout?"
It might be burnout if you're feeling exhausted and hopeless, questioning your ability to do your work.
If you're feeling worthless, asking yourself, "What's the point of being here?". It might be depression.
The good news is that there is help in both cases.
Seeing your GP can be the first port of call.
They will discuss the best options to support you, like medication and/or time off.
A Coach can offer you tools to move forward and explore possible causes so that you can deal with life challenges without compromising your well-being
