The Quickest Way to Shift Our Mood

Life is full of ups and downs, and so is our mood.

The quickest way to shift our mood is through the body. Have you ever had a cold shower?

A simple rule of thumb:

Anxious/overwhelmed slow down your breathing. This will slow down your heart rate, signalling your brain that you're safe.

Low mood/numbness -  connect to your 5 senses. Music, movement, and uplifting smells can help you feel more grounded and alert.


Which regular practice could help your mood?

Mindfulness?

Jogging?

Walking in Nature?

When we're not overwhelmed or numb, we are in the present moment - our minds and bodies are in sync. We can observe ourselves and our actions. We respond, not react.  Who wouldn't like that?
